In the framework of the general strike called by the CGT against the labor reform, the La Bancaria union confirmed its full adherence to the measure of force, which will significantly affect financial operations throughout the country. The head of the union, Sergio Palazzo, stated that there will be no public service in person in any branch (public or private) nationwide during the 24-hour strike. However, users will not be completely financially isolated. The home banking service, mobile applications from financial entities, and virtual wallets will function with total normality to make transfers, pay for services, and set up fixed-term deposits. Likewise, it is expected that ATMs will operate, although they warn that the lack of bill replenishment (due to the cessation of cash trucks) could generate cash shortages towards the end of the day.
